Hot Weather Advice |

Adur & Worthing PoliceGood Morning Resident, With warm, sunny weather set to continue over the coming week and into the weekend, we are seeing increased numbers of people visiting beaches, parks and beauty spots across our districts. As temperatures remain high and visitor numbers increase, we are expecting a busy period for emergency services and would ask everyone to take some simple precautions to help keep themselves and others safe: • Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water • Wear suitable sun protection and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight • Take extra care around open water, coastal areas and rivers • Supervise children closely in busy public places and agree a clear meeting point if separated • Plan journeys in advance and expect increased traffic on main routes and coastal roads • Never leave children or dogs in parked vehicles, even for a short time • If consuming alcohol, do so responsibly and look out for friends and family • In an emergency, always call 999 Our officers, staff and partners will continue working throughout the week and weekend to help keep communities safe. Please enjoy the sunshine responsibly, look after one another, and help us ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable few days ahead.
