Alert message sent 14/02/2020 15:09:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

Dear All

You are invited to the Hastings and St Leonards NHW AGM on Thursday 19 March, from 18:00 to 20:00.

This invite is for Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) coordinators, people thinking of becoming coordinators, and representatives from resident associations.

At the meeting our Local Policing Inspector and the Hastings Borough Council Community Safety Manager will update us on their key issues and actions. We will then have a question and answer session and discuss issues and opportunities for NHW contributing to community safety.

We will also have to go through the formal business of electing a committee, but that should be very brief. I will be stepping down as chair. We have a volunteer, John Bownas, to take my place, but if anyone else is interested in becoming chair or joining the committee, please let me know.

John manages both the Hastings Business Improvement District and the Hastings Area Business Crime Reduction Partnership (which is responsible for the borough's Shopwatch and Barwatch schemes). He is also shortly to become the local Hastings lead for Crimestoppers and has recently helped us by creating a new website for the scheme at www.haslnw.uk.

Please could you register ASAP to let me know if you are coming or not, so I can book a suitable sized venue. Simply click here and reserve a free place using Eventbrite.

If there are any other topics you would like covered or you would like to be on the committee, please let me know that too.

Regards

Graham Crane
